Website SEO and WordPress Training at WordCamp

WordPress, the free online website software that has put web publishing power in the hands of anyone with a keyboard and Internet access, has become a growing phenomenon and its annual WordPress website SEO training conference, WordCamp, will be in Chandler, Arizona January 18-20, 2013.

Last year, the event attracted more than 600 small business owners, non-profit agencies, realtors, photographers, designers, website SEO strategists and journalists. The organizers anticipate that a similar number of the platform’s enthusiasts will descend on downtown Chandler this year to learn easy website publishing and development.

The non-profit event brings together WordPress training enthusiasts from around the globe to share best practices and website SEO strategies for a wide variety of businesses. WordPress training conferences are held around the world, but the one in Chandler has two distinctions: it is one of the largest and well attended and its held in sunny and warm Arizona – in January. Enough said.

Many of the websites we build are on the WordPress platform so two of our team members flew into Phoenix last year and we found the content of the sessions invaluable. (Of course the outstanding networking, free T-shirt and After Party helped form our positive experience!).  When professional PUNCH was asked to become one of the organizers for the 2013 conference, we jumped at the opportunity. It’s been fun helping to create blog posts, website SEO and social media content to promote the event as a part of the marketing team.

Several of last year’s popular activities will return, including FREE Friday WordPress training workshops and an after party hosted on the beautiful grounds of Chandler’s new City Hall. Other highlights include:
